Into October, and as Junior Eurovision looms on the horizon (and our performers are battling through the last of the National Finals), the selection processes for May’s Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm are becoming clearer. Unless you want to go for an internal selection, in which case we have two names for you already from Montenegro and The Netherlands.
While the TV audience in the Spring might not recognise them, the old NF favourites of Männerchor Steili Kressä return to do battle in the very easy to understand Swiss process. Their ode to Sweden features in the latest podcast from the ESC Insight team.

1 small remark on Israel in the 2nd semi final.
Usually on the day before the semi there are 2 dress rehearsals. 1st one at 15(or 16 hours) and the jury rehearsal at 21 hours.Israel will not be able to participate on the 1st dress rehearsal. It’s in the middle of Israel’s National Memorial Day and there is no way they are going to sing and be happy during that time. Not sure how the EBU and the Israeli delegation is going to get around this issue(and I have a feeling that IBA just didn’t pay attention for this issue).
Don’t say you didn’t know when the issue will be raised(or maybe you can contact IBA and ask for clarification)
Wouldn;t be the first time a broadcaster has forgotten about the rehearsals timings that then clash with plans!
