Its the final countdown!  Oh geez… did we nick that material?  With just 3 days till we learn the winner for Eurovision 2013, the press are hotting up with the latest gossip, news and any old way of predicting the winner.  Once again ESC Insight brings you the best of the headlines across the contest world for today.

The winner takes it all

According to a Microsoft project manager David Rothschild with his new software PredictWise, Denmark has a 50% chance of winning the contest this Saturday.  The figures are based on current betting odds, which currently indicate the song will in fact win by a landslide bigger than that experienced by Rybaks’ Fairytale in 2009.  Will Only Teardrops really take the record as well as the win?  3 more days till we find out.

Only Love Survives

For Ryan Dolan, he may not conquer the contest come Saturday, but the Irish news are reporting that his Eurovision relationship may survive past the week with rumours of a romance blossoming between him and Russian entrant Dina Garipova.  To us though, it just seems like a cheap way to drive media coverage on both the acts.

Loreens’ got the power

Our 2012 winner will be back on Saturday for the final as our interval act, performing her brand new single ‘We Got the Power’.  Could this song be potentially better than the winner selected from the field?  Judge for yourself.

How to host a party

The local English-press in Malmo has interviewed Petra Mede in the lead up to her hosting duties for Eurovision.  Petra says that not everyone has to like her.  But we do.  Particularly those little history skits.  We just reckon she should re-think the semi 2 dress.
