Junior Eurovision Gallery: Around the arena Written by on December 1, 2011

You’ve seen the artists on stage, but what about happens off stage?

Sharleen Wright and Steven Newby have tried to capture the essence of behind the scenes on days 2 and 3 to show all not lucky enough to be Yerevan what we have experienced in and around the arena in 2011.  Our selection focuses on the events in the press centre, the performers off the stage and sights that we feel best express what we have seen and come to know as the Junior Eurovision experience in Armenia.

We start the day with this view from the arena of the famous Mt Ararat.

The children of Armenia have provided us with some special artwork around the press centre to celebrate this special event.

One of the most popular visitors to the press were the act from Georgia, who blew us away with renditions of the past 3 Georgian entries and a little bit of Lady Gaga for good measure.

Meanwhile, Lidiya from Belarus had a quieter time interviewing one on one.

Erik from Sweden seemed right at home off the stage and in the limelight of the press room.
