The ESC Insight team have arrived in Dusseldorf, the rehearsals have started, and even though the contest almost two week away, there’s still a lot to be done before we can crown the winner of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest.

Let’s start with a simple question – what can the 43 countries do with their selected song in the run up to the live shows to improve their chances of getting the public and jury votes?

Daily News from Dusseldorf, Monday 2nd May
Hosted by Ewan Spence and Sharleen Wright, with…

Andrew Main (All Kinds of Everything)

Great Podcast Ewan, really enjoyed it. Best of luck with the Podcasts.

On the Turkish gimmick from last year look at Manga, with their robot changing to woman and Turkey are going down the “worked last year so will work this year”.

  2. JT says:

    Loving the podcasts!
Having to use my imagination to visualise you all in your spandex and glittering costumes (although I know what Andrew looks like in sequins)
    Sexy voice David!

  3. David says:

Yes, love the podcast – it’s going to be required daily listening I think.

Gimmicks – well personally, I’ll be deeply disappointed if there’s not just a little bit of angle grinding again this year. And of course it goes without saying that the more semi-naked boy dancers that are fielded – the more I shall like it. ;-))
