Time for another wildcard entry in the quest to find the greatest Eurovision song of all time, and I suspect that Ani Lorak’s inclusion is going to be popular.
There’s no rematch with Dima Bilan, but it’s a strong field with three other winners in this week’s Juke Box Jury, all of which have their own distinct charm. But who’s going to be swinging into the next round?

The Voice is the best out of these songs, Shady Lady is so overrated. Bad results in 2008.
Fair result I think…although I never cease to be amazed that Charlotte ‘Hero’ Perelli didn’t whip Ani’s pert rear end on the night. Sweden’s was a much better song. Alas, on reflection Charlotte did have an air of bad drag about her. Her rather ‘arch’ performance probably put people off. That or the lasers burnt retinas all over Europe.
One simple fact lost Perelli a lot of votes. she looked like a monochrome zombie. For all the fans listening and loving the song, on screen she was a joke.
My mate genuinely thought she was wearing grey body paint and a silver wig…until the colour kicked in at the chorus.
yes, she looked like a Zombie
back in 1999 she was already full of plastic, but 2008 was beyond horror
I’ve just sent you (the admin) an email listing the scores including my own scores, but Ewan I’m surprised at you; you mistakenly confused Ani Lorak Ukraine 2008 with Svetlana Lobada Ukraine 2009.
Ani Lorak had the 4 very cute male backup dancers with the twitch at the “checkout” beeps.
Svetlana had the three greased up Gladiators… i should remember i told screen captures of every second of it once my mitts had the official DVD (and some even became my Desktop Picture)
Gutted La Det Swinge never made it through !!!!
